In 1996 Harli Seifert's Grannus-daughter, Grannuschka, gave birth to a colorful chestnut foal by Cordalme Z, which was to conquer the world's international courses a few years later. Licensed in Vechta in 1998, Couleur Rubin started his career in 2000 under the saddle of Joachim Heyer with numerous victories in youn horses show-jumping classes. Top placings at National Championships and many victories had already been on the stallion's account, who later changed to Ludger Beerbaum's stable and for the time being competing with Marco Kutscher. Ludger took over the amazingly jumping chestnut quickly, who has finally earned more than half a million euros in prize money during his career. Couleur Rubin took part in his last show in 2012 and has been dedicated to breeding ever since.
